Synbal is proud to announce that several members of our Scientific Advisory Board, Drs. K. Cooper, V. Gantz and E. Bier have published another landmark paper in the journal Nature. The paper along with an accompanying commentary represent the first example of the demonstration of a gene drive in a mammalian system. Synbal is using a version of the technology that does not use a classical gene drive, as the basis of its development of super Mendelian transgenic laboratory rats and mice for research and drug discovery purposes. No use of this technology beyond the laboratory is anticipated at this time without careful consultation and discussion with the scientific community and relevant governmental agencies.
